Position:  Level II Computer Technician

 

Description:  Mesquite Independent School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Level II Computer Technician for the Technical Services Department.  The appointee will report directly to the Computer Supervisor and will be responsible for the installation and repair of computers, printers and related equipment for the District.

 

Qualifications:  Preference will be given to applicants who:

• have advanced experience with PC and Apple repair.
• have basic knowledge in troubleshooting Ethernet and wireless networking problems in an Active Directory environment.
• Have a working knowledge of IOS devices and Chrome OS devices. i.e. (iPads and Chromebooks)
• possess effective communication, public relation and interpersonal skills.
• have ability to diagnose and troubleshoot computer hardware and software.
• are able to troubleshoot and repair basic electronics.
• are highly organized and detail oriented.
• are able to lift (60) pounds.
• are able to work in a high pressure environment.
• are willing to work overtime as needed.       

 

                              Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the              

                              Administration may find appropriate and acceptable.

 

226 day contract

 

Employment begins as soon as possible.
